July 2025 Product Update: What’s New & Why It Matters

1. Smarter Document Navigation in Chat

Our chat window is where most users ask questions, run AI-powered contract reviews, and swap files. The folder tree on the left now expands and collapses with one click—no more endless scrolling. Even better, Hevi remembers which tab you were using (Chat, Reviews, or Files) as you jump between folders, so your workflow stays uninterrupted.

Why it matters

• Zero context switching – Stay on “Files” while you browse, or keep the “Chat” open for faster AI queries.
• Faster retrieval – Less clicking means quicker answers during tender reviews, risk assessments, and daily admin.

2. Universal Admin Settings—Now in Both Portals

Admin controls used to hide exclusively inside the chat app. We pulled them out so you can reach them from either portal.hevi.app or the main chat. If you have admin rights, a gear icon now sits at the bottom of your screen.

Inside you can:

• Create & manage user groups – Organise by project, joint venture, or external counsel.
• Assign contracts to groups – Restrict visibility to only the people who need it.
• Toggle permissions – Grant or revoke access with granular role controls.

For mining and construction companies juggling dozens of subcontractors, having one place to manage access is priceless. Fewer emails to IT; fewer “Can you see this file?” phone calls.

3. Centralised Notification Controls

Project inboxes erupt every day with RFIs, site instructions, and progress claims. Miss a delay notice and profits vanish. That’s why we consolidated all alert settings under Contract Setup → Notifications:

• Daily AI Monitor summaries
• Task and workflow reminders
• Overdue notifications

You decide exactly when— and how—Hevi nudges your team.

4. AI Mail Monitor Syncs with Chat Folders

Hundreds of users asked for a way to avoid double-uploading documents. You can now link an existing chat folder directly to the AI Mail Monitor:

• Select a folder once—Hevi auto-syncs any new file you drop in.
• Upload docs straight from Mail Monitor if you prefer.

Either way, the AI Contract Management Software reviews every incoming email against the same, single source of truth—perfect for busy EPC contracts or rolling framework agreements.

5. Reduced Hallucination Risk—Transparent “I Don’t Know” Responses

Generic AI chatbots often invent answers when data is missing. We changed Hevi’s system prompt so it now explicitly states when the contract or project files don’t contain the requested information. You’ll see a message like:

“The provided documentation does not explicitly define Liquidated Damages. Please supply additional context … ”

No guesswork, no misinformation—crucial when claims can run into millions and disputes hit arbitration.

6. Minor Dashboard Polish

You might spot a slightly cleaner layout, but nothing dramatic. Charts load a bit quicker, fonts line up, and overall speed improves. The goal: remove friction so you can focus on managing risk, not wrangling software.
